BURBANK, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Walt Disney Records Media Relations) - On June 26, Walt Disney Records and Hollywood Records will release a double cover, two-disc release with Hannah Montana 2 / Meet Miley Cyrus. Each disc will feature 10 tracks from the fourteen year-old teen sensation.

Hannah Montana 2 features songs from the hit Disney Channel series' second season including the No 1 Radio Disney hit "Nobody's Perfect." Songwriting and producing talent contributing to the Hannah Montana 2 soundtrack include Matthew Gerrard (Hannah Montana theme song "Best of Both Worlds"), Robbie Nevil, Jamie Houston, Adam Watts & Andy Dodd, Antonina Armato & Tim James, many of whom also contributed songs to High School Musical and Hannah Montana. Hannah Montana is slated to appear on Good Morning America's Summer Concert Series June 22.

Meet Miley Cyrus marks the teen's solo debut effort and also showcases her songwriting talents on 8 of the 10 tracks. Cyrus collaborated with the songwriting team of Antonina Armato and Tim James (Mariah Carey) on 4 songs ("See You Again," "Let's Dance," "Right Here" and "Good and Broken").

Additional contributors include Matthew Wilder (No Doubt, Kelly Clarkson), Shelly Peiken (Christina Aguilera, Keith Urban) and Scott Cutler and Anne Preven (Natalie Imbruglia's "Torn" and the Academy Award-nominated song "Listen" from the Dreamgirls soundtrack). Stand out tracks on the album include "Start All Over," "G-N-O (Girls Night Out)," "See You Again" and "East Northumberland High."

Cyrus says, "I'm so excited for fans to hear my solo material! The music is introducing you to Miley Cyrus, the girl underneath the wig. The songs are personal and will give fans a chance to understand and relate to me. Listening to the lyrics will also show why I love doing what I do – singing, acting and dancing."

In November 2006, the original Hannah Montana soundtrack became the first-ever TV soundtrack to debut at No 1 on the Billboard Top 200 and went on to become the No 8 best-selling album of the year (according to Nielsen SoundScan). The R.I.A.A. certified the soundtrack double platinum less than two months after its release. Additionally last fall, Miley Cyrus (performing as Hannah Montana) rocked sold-out venues across the country on her first 22-city tour. On March 4, 2007, Miley (performing as Hannah) headlined the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo at Reliant Stadium where her event debut set the highest attendance record in the rodeo's 75-year history, with an audience of more than 73,200 people.

In October, fans will experience a concert first when Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus are co-headliners on a 50+ city nationwide arena tour. Cyrus adds, 'There's nothing more fun than being out on stage and feeling the vibe from the crowd. The energy from the fans makes me want to give it my all every night.'

The Hannah Montana series is seen on Disney Channels all over the world and on DisneyChannel.com via streaming broadband video. In 2006, it was the No 1 series on basic cable in the U.S. among Kids 6-11 and Tweens and, across all television, was second only to American Idol in those key youth demographics. It also is seen Saturday mornings on the ABC Television Network's "ABC Kids" programming block.
More information on the songs from Hannah Montana 2 / Meet Miley Cyrus can be found on DisneyRecords.com and on Mileyworld.com. Walt Disney Records and Hollywood Records are part of the Disney Music Group, the recorded music and music publishing arm of the Walt Disney Company. The two-disc set will be available June 26, 2007 for a suggested retail price of $22.98 wherever music is sold.
