Friends Are," country music singer/songwriter and recording artist
Tracy Lawrence commemorated the occasion with friends and celebrity guests to film the corresponding music video.
Lawrence partnered with Ronnie Gilley, President and CEO, Ronnie Gilley Properties LLC (RGP), with whom he currently has various real estate ventures underway, to film the musical project. The music video was filmed at various locations in Enterprise, AL this past Monday, June 18.
Ronnie Gilley played the lead character while close friends George and Nancy Jones, Darryl Worley, Roy Oswalt of the Houston Astros, and Cornelius Griffin of the Washington Redskins were on hand to make cameo appearances.
The song has special meaning to both Lawrence and Gilley. "This song depicts precisely where I was in my life when I first met Tracy," said Gilley. "When I met Tracy, I was going through a divorce, I was down on my luck in every aspect of my business and Tracy is one of the artists who helped me come up with the idea of putting together celebrity partnerships and endorsements," added Gilley.
"This song is a real story for us. Everyone [from the production crew, to the NFL players and the country music artists] who came together to make this video a reality, came as a friend to offer their support to Tracy. All of the celebrities that showed up are in partnership with Ronnie Gilley Properties and it's not just a partnership it's our friendship that shines through because we all want to help each other succeed."
Lawrence, who is now on an independent label (Rocky Comfort Records), initially established his relationship with Gilley in a real estate partnership with RGP in April 2006 to develop Mayberry Place; a quaint and charming community with a "Mayberry" feel located in New Brockton, AL. Since then, Tracy and Ronnie Gilley have worked together on a number of projects both in the entertainment industry and real estate sector and there are now site plans in the works for Mayberry Place, Tennessee.
Ronnie Gilley Properties has been building residential communities and commercial projects including restaurants, hotels, neighborhood retail centers and office buildings in the South Alabama region for more than 18 years. In addition the relationship with Tracy Lawrence, Ronnie Gilley Properties also has unique partnerships with country music artists George Jones, Alan Jackson, Kix Brooks and Darryl Worley.
