Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Columbia Nashville) - Brothers Johnny and Donnie Van Zant had no idea what to expect when they recorded their first country album Get Right With The Man on Columbia Nashville. A gold-certified cd and a Top 10 single later, the duo is poised to release their sophomore disc My Kind of Country September 18, 2007.

'It was always our dream to record together on a country album,' said younger brother Johnny. 'And to have country radio, the industry and the fans support us they way they did just blew us away.' Donnie adds, 'Yeah, and putting out another country record is like icing on a really cool cake!'

Johnny and Donnie had a hand in writing six of the 11 cuts on the new disc, which was produced by Mark Wright and Justin Niebank. Top music row tunesmiths Bob DiPiero, Rivers Rutherford Anthony Smith Jeffery Steele, Craig Wiseman and others contributed songs or co-wrote with the duo.

Over the past two years Van Zant has made a firm commitment to their career as a country duo. In addition to extensive radio tours and attending virtually every industry function in support of both albums, the guys spent months touring as a duo. They spent the first half of 2006 opening for label mate Gretchen Wilson's Redneck Revolution Tour, and they will hit the road together this Fall in support of My Kind of Country.
