Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Curb/ Asylum Records) - Curb/Asylum Records has shipped Rio Grand's next single, 'That's My Memory,' a heart-wrenching, passion filled song that is certain to strike an ambient cord with music lovers of every genre. And it has proven to do just that with a rave review in
Music Row Magazine by Robert K. Oermann.
In Oermann's bi-weekly column for Music Row Magazine, dated June 29th, Rio Grand was among many well-established artists in the race for the DISClaimer's DISC of the Day. Fortunate for Rio Grand they triumphed over all and nailed down 'The Disc of the Day Award.'
Oermann reviewed 'That's My Memory,' penned by Keith Burns (of Trick Pony) and Rick Ferrell. Oermann wrote, "Spectacularly well sung. The lead vocalist practically weeps in melody and the chorus harmonies are celestial. The superb heartache ballad has 'hit' written all over it. It is also available in a version with Spanish-language phrases, and I'm all for that in our music."
Rio Grand, consisting of the multi-talented singer/musicians, Danny Rivera, Lance Leslie, Tommy Rennick, and Fred Stallcup have taken their combined musical influences including, Tom Petty, The Beatles, The Eagles, Willie Nelson, Def Leopard, Merle Haggard, Elvis, Restless Heart and Alabama and created a dynamic sound to set them apart that is guitar driven with thick harmonies. The musical result is a super charged, honky Tonkin', country rockin', fire blazin' sound with a super charged live show to match
'That's My Memory,' is at the desk of country radio now. Fans of the genre should stand poised for massive entertainment coming to a radio station in their city.
