COACHELLA, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Spotlight 29 Casino) -
Carlos Mencia is never shy about giving his opinion. On EVERYTHING! He spouts off on his big-hit TV show, "Mind of Mencia" on Comedy Central, on literally everything - ethnic stereotypes, race relations, immigration, war, patriotism, capitalism, family, gas prices, gay marriage - all topics that help him avoid controversy.
Now Mencia is bringing his quick-witted opinions to Spotlight 29 Casino. He will appear in two concerts on November 24, one at 7 p.m. and again at 10 p.m., in the casino's Spotlight Showroom.
A veteran of the comedy circuit, Mencia is probably best known for his Comedy Central show, which, in addition to his famous rants, features Mencia on location for man-on-the-street interviews, outrageous commercial and film spoofs, studio audience interaction and a surprising range of celebrity guests.
Mencia has also shared his hilarious opinions on "Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher" and on CNBC's "Dennis Miller Show." Beyond the small screen, Mencia has appeared in the movies "29 Palms" (about casinos in the Coachella Valley) and "Outta Time" with Mario Lopez.
A previous concert tour, "The Three Amigos," in which Mencia headlined in 2001-2002, was so successful it sparked the interest of industry execs and prompted Miramax Films to fund the taping of three sold-out performances as well as behind-the-scenes footage.
Tickets for Carlos Mencia are priced from $60 and go on sale Friday, August 10 at Spotlight29.com and at the Spotlight 29 Casino Gift Shop or by calling (800) 585-3737.
