NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ Denon DJ Website) - Denon DJ, a leading manufacturer of professional DJ equipment, today announced that DJ UnME ("Dee Jay You N Me") from Spokane, WA (legal name Andrew Reynolds) is the Grand Prize winner in the Denon DJ "Mix & Mash Challenge" online DJ contest. Co-sponsored by fashion leader retailer Armani Exchange, Guitar Center, Tommy Boy Entertainment, Beatport and PCDJ, the contest challenged DJs to show off their "skillz" and win prizes by downloading tracks from a specially created website, mash.denondj.com, then remixing and uploading them back onto the site for judging by friends, visitors and a Blue Ribbon panel of industry experts. Hundreds of aspiring DJs from all over the country participated and the contest resulted in over 1.5 million page views. Participating DJs were also able to exchange their favorite mixes and embed them in e-mails, personal websites and blogs.
As Grand Prize Winner, DJ UnME will receive $2,500 shopping sprees at both the Armani Exchange and Guitar Center, $600 worth of free music downloads from Beatport, plus a Denon DN-HD2500 Media Player & Controller (SRP:$199.99), a pair of Denon DN-HP1000 Headphones (SRP: $199) and the Denon AVR-987 AV Surround Receiver.

The Grand Prize Winner was chosen from among six finalists, three of whom were selected by visitors to the contest site, and three chosen directly by the Blue Ribbon panel. The remaining five runners up were: DJ Hans (Hans Batista from Pembroke Pines, FL), DJ TC (Scott Rohrbach from West Lawn, PA), DJ Supersede (Andrew Beckwith from Gainesville, FL), Dj Splatterhouse (Danilo Pilapil from North Hollywood, CA), and SQUID (Stephen Soleyn from Brooklyn, NY). They will be rewarded with a variety of prizes, including $250 shopping sprees at both Armani Exchange and Guitar Center, $150 in Beatport music as well as advanced Denon DJ products such as the Denon DN- S3500 Table-top CD/MP3 Player, PCDJ Reflex TC Software and a Denon DVD-757 Progressive Scan Universal DVD Player. In addition, every DJ that entered the contest received 10 free music downloads selected by and downloadable from Beatport. All of the music downloads for the contest were be provided by Tommy Boy Entertainment and the Armani Exchange.
