(Top40 Charts/ Cynthia Michel Public Relations) - Over a year in the making, sacred contemporary artists Deva Premal and Miten offer their latest collaboration, "Deva Premal Sings the Moola Mantra," available August 28 as a CD and online at the iTunes Store and other digital download sites. The CD is now available for pre-order from Amazon.com, and for a limited time comes with an exclusive 4-track bonus disc containing live, remixed and other previously unavailable material. An experience at India's Oneness University inspired the duo to record the mantra, a Sanskrit chant bearing a timely message of healing, and the importance of finding unity in diversity.
Deva's soaring vocals lead the way through a landscape of sitar, bansuri, dotar, string quartet, grand piano, tabla and ambient electronica. Produced by Ben Leinbach, the studio recording features special guest musicians Jai Uttal, Nepalese flautist Manose, Kit Walker and Benjy Wertheimer.
