HOLLYWOOD, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Koffeehouse

Music Productions, LLC (https://www.koffeehouse.com), known for creating live outdoor performance stages for some of the best indie online music in Los Angeles, will produce a charity music festival on August 26th, 2007, at the Ford Amphitheater in Los Angeles, to benefit The Guitar Center
Music Foundation. The event, entitled "An Evening of Independence: A Celebration of Singers, Songwriters and Music!" will showcase some of the hottest emerging independent artists and new bands, many first discovered on MySpace. General admission tickets are available for $20 and a limited number of VIP seats for $75 at https://www.fordtheatres.org or by calling the Ford Box Office at 323.461.3673. Tickets will also be available on the day of the event at The Ford Theatre, located at 2580 Cahuenga Boulevard East, Hollywood, CA 90068 (across the 101 freeway from the Hollywood Bowl).
The all-ages festival will begin at 5:30 p.m. when patrons are encouraged to picnic on the grounds of the outdoor amphitheater until 7:00 p.m. while listening to John West, Sabrina Taylor, Trevor Davis and Justin Hopkins. The music will continue at 7:30 p.m. on the main stage with Trevor Hall, Mandi Perkins, Amanda Dumas, Shawn Pander, Venice Maki and Shawn Hlookoff.
"The online music communities, including MySpace, boast an extraordinary talent pool," said Koffeehouse founder Jeremy Koff. "Our events create a platform for these artists to be heard in the real world. While online peer-to-peer and social networks have transformed the music industry, there is no substitute for the live music experience, which is the only way for the audience to truly absorb the spirit of a musician."
All of the net proceeds from the event will benefit The Guitar Center Music Foundation (https://www.guitarcentermusicfoundation.org), which provides funding and resources for music programs across America so that kids and adults alike will have an opportunity to experience the joys of music.
