BERKSHIRE, Mass. (Top 40 Charts) - The 2nd Annual Berkshire Jazz Festival is all geared up and ready to roll August 24 & 25 at Butternut Ski Basin in Great Barrington in Western Massachusetts.

Twenty bands will perform on 3 different stages, with jam sessions, clinics, food and crafts. Headliners include two-time Grammy Award winning composer and flugelhorn king Chuck Mangione & His Feels So Good Band, veteran trumpeter and bandleader Maynard Ferguson & His Big Bop Nouveau Band and contemporary jazz supergroup Spyro Gyra.

Other jazz luminaries performing include drummer Chico Hamilton, pianist Hank Jones, singer/songwriter Mose Allison, saxophonist David "Fathead" Newman, Kansas City vocalist Kevin Mahogany, flutist Dave Valentin and vibraphonist Dave Samuels.

Also on the bill are the 2002 Grammy Award winning big band of saxophonist/arranger Bob Mintzer, Brazilian vocalists Kate McGarry and Monika Oliveira, pianist Sai Ghose, vibraphonist and percussionist Damon Grant, sitarist Nana Simopoulos, and vibraphonist Matthias Lupri.
It's all part of a jazz festival throughout the area running from August 22 - 25 and featuring performances by jazz greats at area clubs and venues.
