MAJORGA, Spain (Dance News Magazine) - DJ Sammy's debut album, Heaven, came out Tuesday (August 6). The set features the dance/pop rendition of Bryan Adams's 1985 chart-topping hit, "Heaven," which is also the first single from the album. DJ Sammy now is at DJ-friendly Mediterranean island of Ibiza (work + vacations). DJ Sammy told in a Spanish newspaper that Adams enjoyed his version of "Heaven" so much that he's been asked to remix the Canadian rocker's latest single from the Spirit: Stallion Of The Cimarron soundtrack. "Actually, he gave me so much confidence and so much power that we should do something in the next month together, which is I'm remixing his new single. 'I Will Always Return' is the new single for Bryan Adams worldwide, and I am doing the remix for it, so actually we are starting to do our cooperation step-by-step," he says. DJ Sammy's recording studio is located at his home in Majorca, the largest of the Balearic Islands in the western Mediterranean Sea, but he says that he will be traveling to the U.S. for press and promotion of Heaven very shortly. "I'm doing my best to come down because, really, I am extremely busy. I mean, it's hot now in the U.K. also--the 'Heaven'--so I have to fill out the whole plan because I'm finishing my albums with my other artists. As soon as it's finished, we're gong to plan to come to the U.S. at the end of August, or the beginning of September," he says. "Heaven" by DJ Sammy & Yanou featuring Do is currently at No29 on the Top40-Charts.com Airplay World Top 100.
