NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Atlantic Records) - Atlantic recording artist
Paolo Nutini has reorganized his upcoming North American concert schedule following the cancellation of his co-headline tour with Amy Winehouse. "I'm terribly disappointed that I won't be sharing the stage with Amy," Nutini said. "I'll be thinking a good thought for her, she is a remarkable talent. In the meantime, I'm truly excited about this upcoming tour of North
America - I guarantee it will be my best yet." The new headline dates will kick off on
September 7th, with previously scheduled solo tour dates running though late October (see below itinerary).
Nutini - whose acclaimed debut album, "THESE STREETS," has received praise from both critics and fans around the world - spent much of the past few months appearing at some of summer's biggest festivals, including the 2007 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Tennessee, the Virgin Festival in Baltimore, and Lollapalooza 2007 in Chicago. Paolo and his band have also stole the show at a number of major UK festies, including the Isle of Wight Festival 2007 (where he dueted with Mick Jagger on "Love In Vain" during The Rolling Stones' festival-closing set), the Live Earth spectacular at Wembley Stadium, his native Scotland's annual T In The Park, and the recent V Festival 2007. Nutini has had two top 5 singles at AAA Radio with "New Shoes" and "Last Request" while the accompanying video for "Last Request" has been a mainstay on VH1's popular "Top 20 Countdown" for 10 weeks.
