LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Latin Grammy Awards) - EMI Music artists have picked up 32 nominations for this year's Latin Grammy Awards with EMI Televisa Music's Juan Luis Guerra leading the overall nominations for his album, La Llave De Mi Corazon. Guerra, the Tropical singer/songwriter from the Dominican Republic, who will also be honoured by the Latin Recording Academy as its Person of the Year during Latin Grammy week, earned a total of six nods including Album of the Year, Best Merengue Album, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Tropical Song. La Llave De Mi Corazon also earned a nomination for Guerra, who produced the album, and its engineers for Best Engineered Album.

Other EMI Music nominees include Mexican rock band Zoe whose Memo Rex Commander y El Corazon Atomico De La Via Lactea was nominated for Best Alternative Music Album and their single, No Me Destruyas, for Best Alternative Song. Zoe was also nominated in the Producer of the Year category. Hector Buitrago and Andrea Echeverri from EMI Music Colombia's Aterciopelados were nominated twice for Best Alternative Song and Best Alternative Music Album.

Mexican superstar Belinda was nominated for Pop Song of the Year with Bella Traicion and Best Female Pop Vocal Album for Utopia. Other EMI artists in the Best Female Pop Vocal Album category are the Spanish singer Shaila Darcal with her album Recordando and Colombian singer/songwriter Ilona with Allo En El Sur.

Mexican pop icon Aleks Syntek was recognized in the Best Male Pop Vocal Album category for Leccion De Vuelo while Miranda was nominated for Best Pop Album By A Duo Or Group With Vocal for the album El Disco De Tu Corazon. EMI Televisa's Pepe Aguilar, from Mexico, was nominated for Best Ranchero Album Enamorado. Aguilar's recording, Por Amarte scored a nomination for Best Regional Mexican Song for its writers, Mauricio L. Arriage and Eduardo Murguia. Intocable also received two nominations - Best Norteno Album for Crossroads Cruce De Caminos and Best Regional Mexican Song Por Ella (Poco a Poco).

The 2007 Latin Grammy Award Telecast will take place in the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on the 8th of November and will be televised live in the US by Univision at 8:00 PM eastern time (7:00 PM central time).
