Digital Payment Solutions, Inc., a content commerce platform provider for the music industry, today announced that two music companies signed agreements to implement Javien DPS V8.0 for online sales of their digital content.
New customers include emerging companies such as Fuzz (www.fuzz.com), an artist promotion platform, music community, and next-generation music label, and MusicIP (www.musicip.com), a leader in digital music discovery and recommendations.
The announcement coincides with Javien's participation at the Digital Music Forum West event in Los Angeles today. Leslie Poole, Javien's CEO, is speaking at a panel discussion titled, 'The Evolution of Peer-to-Peer & Music.' The session is scheduled from 4:45-5:30pm PT at The Hollywood Roosevelt.
The topic aligns well with Javien's role in helping the industry to monetize digital music. The company's platform currently provides a comprehensive solution for online and off-deck mobile delivery of digital content ensuring that ever-increasing number of P2P networks, social communities and music sites can capture the revenue that is an essential piece of the business plan.
As the industry continues to look for new ways to generate revenue from P2P networks and social networking sites, determining how ad-supported models as well as subscription, pay-per-view and downloads will work together to generate revenue continues to offer a variety of interesting scenarios.
'The various business models that present themselves for this industry are intriguing. The independent music labels and artists are maximizing the communities delivered by social networking sites to promote and sell digital content.' said Leslie Poole, Javien CEO. 'Our nimble technology positions us to be a partner to the most forward-thinking companies as the needs of the industry change day to day.'
In addition to working with Fuzz and MusicIP, Javien has played a key enablement role with leading P2P networks including iMesh and Bearshare.
'We are already established as a trusted provider and are thrilled to see continued interest in our Total Commerce Solution from organizations in the music industry,' continued Poole. 'The Digital Forum Music West event is a perfect opportunity for us to bring our customers up-to-date on new platform developments and meet the leaders and entrepreneurs in the music industry who are interested in alternative ways to monetize their digital content.'
