Jazz Vocalist Kate McGarry To Debut New Compositions At Joe's Pub On Nov. 6, 2007

New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Palmetto Records) - On November 6th, composer / jazz vocalist Kate McGarry will give fans a taste of material from her in-the-works 2008 Palmetto Records release as well as a variety of originals and standards from her latest album 'The Target' and her previous studio recordings. McGarry also promises to treat the crowd to a wild rendition of a surprise song for Election Day.

Critics are calling McGarry "the best of a new breed of jazz vocalists" (The Philadelphia Inquirer) with a "sure-footed musicality" (The New York Times) and "the pure untrammeled voice of an ingonue who finds wonder in the simplest things" (DownBeat, 4 stars). DownBeat ranked McGarry one of the top rising female vocalists in the 2007 Critics Poll.

McGarry picked an impressive lineup for the show with Keith Ganz on guitar, Gary Versace on piano, organ and accordion, Steve Doyle on bass and Kenny Wollesen on drums, with special guests James Shipp on cajon and Jo Lawry and Allen McGarry on vocals.
