SANTA MONICA, CA. (Top40 Charts/ SLG) - The Savoy Label Group hit an unprecedented milestone in the label group's history when not one but two albums charted at Number One last week. Jim Brickman's "Homecoming" on the SLG label took a scant week to top the chart since its street date on September 25. Andre Rieu's "Radio City Music Hall Live in New York" on Denon topped the Classical charts this week as well.

Jim Brickman is no stranger to chart-topping success. He has had consistent No. 1 debuts on Billboard Magazine's New Age Albums chart with "Homecoming" marking his 10th appearance atop the chart. Since his 1994 debut album, "No Words," Brickman's signature romantic style has made him a marquis name among contemporary instrumental hit makers, selling six Gold and Platinum albums, and delivering three No. 1 and twelve Top 10 Adult Contemporary radio hits, making him the No 1 Top Charting Artist of all time at the radio format. "Homecoming" features a diverse roster of guest performers including Lonestar's Richie McDonald, who is featured on the first single, "Coming Home for Christmas." Other musical collaborators include the late Gerald Levert, who contributed one of his last vocal performances on "My Angel," as well as jazz luminary Peter White, whose guitar talents are showcased on the track, "Joy."

His first-ever concert spectacular filmed in the U.S., "Radio City Music Hall Live in New York" captures the blockbuster performance at the iconic landmark theatre, Radio City Music Hall. Special guest stars include the world-renowned Harlem Gospel Choir, The Platinum Tenors, and child-prodigy Akim Camara. Andre Rieu has always been an artist who has generated unparalleled excitement within (and beyond) the realm of classical music. His spectacular specials produced around the world have consistently been the No 1 performing pledge drive programs for PBS, his last twelve CD's have landed within the top of Billboard's Classical chart with several achieving the No 1 spot, he's won multi-platinum video sales awards for his DVD sets "The Ultimate Andre Rieu Collection" and "The Ultimate Andre Rieu Christmas Collection" and his tours have grown bigger each year regularly selling out arenas in the US and landing him in the Top 5 of Pollstar Magazine's top touring acts year after year.

The Savoy Label Group (SLG) features not only the historic Savoy Jazz label but also the Denon, Denon Classics, Kin Kou and 429 Records labels. SLG is the North American unit of Columbia Music Entertainment (formerly Nippon Columbia), the oldest music company in Japan. Newly reorganized and now headed by Chairman Strauss Zelnick, Columbia Music Entertainment has re-emerged as a significant creative force with a stable of newly signed platinum-selling artists. SLG is one of the most successful marketers of adult music in the U.S. and focuses on classical, jazz, new age, world and adult alternative genres.
