LONDON, UK (Oasis Fans Website) - Oasis have recorded perennial classic Merry Xmas Everybody for a charity album featuring top acts performing past chart-toppers.

The band have given their own twist to the seasonal track for the CD 1 LOVE which will be released on October 14.
Oasis have previously covered the Slade hit Cum On Feel The Noize.

Others to contribute to the new album include Darius who does Manfred Mann's Pretty Flamingo and Prodigy who have a stab at Ghost Town by The Specials.

1 Love is the follow-up to the Help album, which was masterminded by Brian Eno for his charity War Child and raised �1.25 million in 1995.

Collaborations on the album include Jools Holland teaming up with Badly Drawn Boy for a version of Come On Eileen, originally by Dexy's Midnight Runners.
