Montreal, Quebec (Top40 Charts/ KINGSTON RECORDS) - Empire ISIS Conquers 3 Nominated Blackness Awards at Gala Des Prix Soba.

Empire Isis is the newest and hottest urban talent to be coming out of Canada for 2008. She has recently added to her Empire by being nominated for 3 Blackness awards in the Gala Des Prix Soba in Montreal on March 2nd, 2007 at Theatre Outremont. The nominations from her recently released album 'Sound The Trumpets' are:
- Best world music artist of the year
- English revelation of the year
- Best English single of the year
(Get Up On It - written by M. Moufide/ Produced by Prayon)

About: MTV has called her 'This years one to watch' and 'The new album is a breath of fresh air' by Vibe Magazine. Empire Isis' debut album 'Sound The Trumpets' has recently been charted as No 7 on the US industry Indie charts. Isis has recently headlined alongside Canadian Rockers Bedouin SoundClash, reggae artist Elephantman, and Jully Black.

As Montrealer Empire Isis gains much attention from her critics, she has still kept to her true roots. Being half Moroccan and raised by her Ugandan stepfather. She has grown up with multiculturalism to its fullest. It was in Jamaica; there in the heart of reggae music, Isis found her calling. Isis has traveled the world from Africa to Central America to finally rest between New York City and Montreal. At a young age she has experienced the global village with the eyes of true innocence and truly searching for the worlds mystic. ISIS has biked across the central Americas to living in Jamaica to running her own restaurant in a hotel in Brazil. As her destined journeys taught her the joys of life, freedoms and horrors of poverty. Isis has returned home to conquer the world again with her an urban fusion of hip-hop, reggae & pop. Her recently released album 'Sound The Trumpets' is a debut that has many critics wanting more and has brought much attention to her tour dates.
