SANTA MONICA, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Recording Academy) - The fifth annual GRAMMY
Style Studio is The Recording Academy's official styling suite where nominees, performers, and presenters are invited to select one-of-a-kind pieces from leading international red carpet and lifestyle brands to wear to the 50th Annual GRAMMY Awards (airing on CBS live from STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008) and other GRAMMY Week events.
Previously held at Ocean Way Recording Studio in Hollywood, this year's event moves to a new home - Smashbox Studios in West Hollywood (formerly Quixote). Home to fashion shoots of some of the world's leading recording artists (including Fergie, Jay-Z, Madonna, Gwen Stefani, and Justin Timberlake), this 5,000 square foot space will be transformed into a fashion haven using elaborate furnishings, musical equipment and decor from Gibson Musical Instruments and rare pieces of music memorabilia from Hard Rock International's world famous collection.
From Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008 – Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, private styling appointments for talent will be held between 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. daily. A media preview and artists' interviews are on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, with additional appointments scheduled throughout the week.
First designers confirmed to participate include Karl Lagerfeld, K Karl Lagerfeld, Elie Saab, Vivienne Westwood, Vivienne Westwood Anglomania, Hugo Boss, Ted Baker London, Thomas Pink, Toni Maticevski, Blue Notch Denim (Japan), Hush Puppies, K-Swiss, Stetson, Thrive, Technomarine watches and sunglasses from Fendi and Pucci Eyewear, with more confirmations to follow.

Blue Notch Denim from Japan have created limited edition 'silk denim' jeans valued at $1,000 a pair exclusively for GRAMMY Style Studio and TechnoMarine has created an exclusive limited-edition watch with the GRAMMY Awards 50th Anniversary engraved on the back, to commemorate this very special day for nominees. Hush Puppies will host an exclusive preview of their new 'Guest Designer Series' and Fendi and Pucci will be previewing their new eyewear collection.
VIP guests will also enjoy makeovers courtesy of Make Up For Ever and hairstyling by Rodney Cutler from Cutler Salon New York. A hosted bar will be provided including Borba water. Xbox 360 is providing the ultimate rockin' entertainment experience as attendees jam with the new game, Rock Band.
