Los Angeles, CA. (Top40 Charts/ CBS) - CBS will broadcast GARTH BROOKS: LIVE IN LA! from STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, Friday, Jan. 25 (9:00-10:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT). The event is the first of five unprecedented performances Brooks will play over two days - a feat believed to have never before been attempted by any artist.

As part of his first show on Friday night, Brooks will craft a one-hour special for the Network, allowing viewers unique access to the kick-off of his extraordinary two-day, five-show extravaganza.

Brooks will perform two concerts on Friday and three on Saturday, Jan. 26, all at STAPLES Center. Selling 85,000 tickets in less than an hour, Brooks is the only artist in STAPLES Center history to sell out five concerts in one hour and play five concerts in two days.

All proceeds from the five concerts, organized by Brooks and AEG (owners of STAPLES Center), and sponsored by American Express and official media sponsor the Los Angeles Times, will be donated to the "Southern California 2008 Fire Intervention Relief Effort (F.I.R.E.)," a campaign of the McCormick Tribune Foundation. The funds will be granted to agencies providing aid to victims and the first responders of the Los Angeles and San Diego wildfires in addition to providing financial assistance to California firefighting departments and organizations in need of additional or replacement firefighting equipment to better perform their heroic duties. The Foundation will also be responsible for granting administration and recordkeeping.

During the concert, viewers will have the opportunity to contribute to the campaign by calling 1-800-713-2065 or going to https://www.mccormicktribune.org/2008firerelief
