Jersey Shore Singer/Songwriter Bob Burger Nominated For Kweevak's Album Of The Year

EATONTOWN, New Jersey (BIG BRAVE Music) - Jersey Shore singer/songwriter BOB BURGER has been nominated for the Kweevak.com CD of the Year award for his second solo release, Surprise Party. Each year since going online in 1999 Kweevak.com has presented yearly "Music Awards." BURGER previously received Kweevak's Album of the Year honor in 2004 for his 2003 debut solo release Cymbals At Dawn (BIG BRAVE Music, 2003).

2007 has been a stellar year for BOB BURGER beginning with the December, 2006 release of Surprise Party (BIG BRAVE Music) which has been reviewed as "a combination of adult contemporary rock-n-roll spirit with inherent flair for infectious melodies and commanding lead vocals" (www.bitmunk.com). His busy touring schedule in support of Surprise Party was highlighted by multiple appearances as a member of Bobby Bandiera's Jersey Shore Rock-N-Soul Revue, a concert series presented by Count Basie Theatre. Opening engagements for national recording artists Hootie and the Blowfish, Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes and Gary U.S. Bonds. Band leader among a headline making impromptu jam session of musical legends includ ing Jon Bon Jovi, Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Jimmy Buffet and Roger Waters at Bon Jovi's Labor Day Hamptons bash. Release of a holiday EP entitled Christmas Can't Wait featuring three original tracks and seasonal favorites Christmas in Killarney and Ave Maria. And finally, high profile holiday shows including the Hope Concert III headlined by Jon Bon Jovi under the musical direction of Bobby Bandiera which raised $500,000 for the Valerie Fund, and Glen Burtnik's Xmas Xtravaganza which during it's 17 year run has collected over five tons of food for area FoodBanks.

BOB BURGER has previously been awarded The RIAA's Gold Record award in 1998 for his work with Glen Burtnik (Styx) on Edge Of A Century, and was a 1990 quarter finalist winner in the American Song Festival for his solo composition Turn Away. In addition to the Kweevak.com nomination, BURGER received many local awards for his debut album Cymbals At Dawn including Upstage Magazine's "Search For Intelligent Nightlife" selection as best album for 2003 and Asbury Music Award nominations for the past four consecutive years including three nominations in 2007 alone.
