NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ TouchTunes Corporation) - TouchTunes Corporation, the largest out-of-home interactive entertainment network, announced today its official sponsorship of Musicians On Call (MOC), highlighted by the 4th Annual Benefit Concert & Auction at the world-famous Hard Rock Cafe New York in Times
Square on Tuesday, January 29. Multi-platinum and Grammy-winning recording artist Seal headlines the event, which will raise money for MOC through an online auction of one-of-a-kind items donated by musicians including Sting, Melissa Etheridge, and
Carrie Underwood (www.charitybuzz.com). The previous three benefit concerts have raised close to one million dollars, furthering MOC's mission to deliver music to the bedsides of patients in health care facilities nationwide.
TouchTunes will work with Musicians On Call to help build awareness for the organization's 2008 fundraising events, as well as support MOC's established programs, including CD Pharmacies, which provides hospitals with complete CD libraries and players for patients' use. TouchTunes will also draw from its strong relationships with major record labels to increase MOC's visibility in the music industry.
'This partnership with Musicians On Call is very special to us,' said TouchTunes CEO Art Matin. 'Their work demonstrates what a powerful effect music has on all our lives. Our ability to give back to the community through the growing TouchTunes network is something we're proud and excited to share.'
'The annual benefit concert sets the tone for the whole year, and TouchTunes has been a great company with a fantastic network to work with,' said Leslie Faerstein, Executive Director of Musicians On Call. 'We have been so successful in the past, raising money to continue delivering music directly to patients' bedsides, and TouchTunes opens up yet another avenue to further our goal.'
TouchTunes has a strong commitment to the healing power of music, and is a supporter of the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Among other activities, TouchTunes created a limited edition Livestrong jukebox in 2007 which the company donated to Michael's Way, a non-profit organization whose goal is to help the families of children with cancer cope with their medical care expenses.
