BREWSTER, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Energy Analytics) - Energy Analytics, a leading New York-based energy services company and carbon curtailment specialist, has been chosen by two-time Grammy Award winning rock band Linkin Park to offset the band's entire electrical needs for its February 21, 2008 concert at Madison Square Garden. To promote its new album, Minutes To Midnight, Linkin Park will utilize Renewable Power Certificates (RECs) from Energy Analytics Premier Performance Green-e Renewable Power Program. The band will once again demonstrate its commitment to help combat global warming and to reduce its own carbon emissions on tour through the use and support of cutting edge environmental initiatives.

While members can't perform in the dark or skimp on the power needed to be heard in such a large venue as Madison Square Garden, they can actively offset their overall carbon impact on the environment. To achieve this, Linkin Park created a partnership with Energy Analytics and elected to utilize RECs from the company for the equivalent amount of all the electricity used the night of the concert. Energy Analytics then began the task of identifying, supplying and measuring the band's electrical consumption and carbon footprint for this event. The concert will utilize EPA recognized Green-e certified New York- generated wind power to completely offset the environmental impact of the band's electrical consumption.

Madison Square Garden is no stranger to utilizing green energy either. For the past decade the company has been aggressively doing its part to reduce energy consumption by taking an active role in energy conservation and carbon mitigation strategies, allowing top performers, such as Linkin Park, to build on a platform of positive environmental stewardship.

Linkin Park leads by example and is proud to demonstrate that the concept of reducing our impact on the planet is well within our reach.

Linkin Park, the two-time Grammy Award winning rock band from California has roots in supporting projects with a social conscience. The band was a founding member of the nonprofit organization Music for Relief created in 2005 after the tsunami disaster in South Asia.
Music for Relief has raised over $2.5 million for the tsunami victims as well as victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Its goal is to respond to natural disasters by helping victims recover and rebuild. The organization has partnered with Habitat for Humanity in helping to build homes in the U.S. Gulf Coast area. Music for Relief also recognizes the environmental consequences of global warming. The second goal of Music for Relief is to prevent and decrease future natural disasters by reducing greenhouse gasses, seeking renewable forms of energy and educating the public about climate change. It has also partnered with American Forests, a leader in tree planting for environmental restoration. For more information, visit: https://www.linkinpark.com and https://www.musicforrelief.org.
