CINCINNATI, OH. (Top40 Charts/ Great Speckled Dog) - Over The Rhine is on the road again, this time supporting Ani DiFranco for an 11-date tour in March. The tour will bring the two renegade acts to several Eastern and Southern cities beginning in Concord, N.H. on February 28 and culminating in New Orleans on March 16 (see full itinerary below).

According to Over The Rhine member Linford Detweiler: Ani DiFranco is the kind of artist that everyone aspires to be, but few find the inner strength to pull it off. She's a visionary and a pioneer in that she was way ahead of the curve by starting her own record label and owning her own music from the start (back in the early 1990s when people thought she was crazy). She's influenced a whole generation of young guitar players with her unique approach to her instrument. And her songwriting is messy, honest, vulnerable, unpredictable and juicy as hell.

'Ani DiFranco is a true independent spirit and a unique voice,' he adds. 'It's an honor to support her on a tour that finds her reflecting back and no doubt celebrating the many small victories that await those who are willing to risk everything in hopes of being true to themselves.'

The dates:
February 28 CONCORD, NH Capitol Theater
March 1 ROCHESTER, NY Auditorium Theater
March 2 PITTSBURGH, PA Carnegie Music Hall of Homestead
March 5 COLUMBUS, OH Lifestyle Communities Pavilion
March 6 KNOXVILLE, TN Bijou Theatre
March 7 ATHENS, GA 40 Watt Club
March 11 TAMPA, FL Tampa Theatre
March 12 JACKSONVILLE, FL Freebird Live
March 14 NASHVILLE, TN The Ryman
March 15 BIRMINGHAM, AL Workplay Soundstage
March 16 NEW ORLEANS, LA House of Blues

Over the Rhine continues to promote its latest album, The Trumpet Child, with its barnstorming tour of America boasting sold out shows in St. Augustine, Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, Houston, Austin, and Dallas. In addition to its March tour with Ani DeFranco, the band will also be performing with the BoDeans March 9th for NPR's etown, and April 7th for the public radio program Woodsongs Old Time Radio Hour.

Also, the track 'Nothing Is Innocent' will be included in Starbucks' the first edition of its iTunes compilation, New Music Quarterly, due out in early June. The compilation will be promoted and sold at Starbucks stores nationwide via digital download cards.
