Sydney, AU. (Top40 Charts/ EMI MUSIC Australia) - New Zealand's kings of everything dub/roots/reggae are making their way back to Australia for one night only at The Metro, Sydney on Saturday April 19.
After briefly visiting our shores in early November for the release of their 6th album 'Heal Me', Australian audiences will once again be treated to the trademark dub stylings of a band long considered the pioneers of roots and reggae music in Australia and New Zealand.
Having not released an album proper since 2003's multi-platinum selling 'One Drop East', the boys from Kaikoura Aotearoa put together their 6th studio album titled 'Heal Me' last year. The album sees the departure of Tiki Taane and a shift for the band back to their older punky roots stylings.
'Heal Me' is an 11 track vocally lush, musically seamless, horn laden, long player featuring the band's hallmark heavy rhythm section layered with Salmonella Dub psychedelic colourings.
The albums anthem 'Love, Sunshine and Happiness' has emerged as a Triple J listeners' favourite, only highlighting Australian audience's love affair with the band. Originators, Innovators, Legends.
Back home 'Heal Me' is about to go platinum making it the fastest selling Salmonella Dub album to date.
On Saturday 19th April The Metro Theatre will play host to Salmonella Dub and guests. Tickets go on sale today, Monday March 3, and are sure to sell out so get in quick.
