New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Winter Music Conference PR) - Celebrating their fifth straight year of presenting some of Miami's most infamous WMC events, Basic NYC is back at the Beach Plaza Hotel for the 2008 Winter Music Conference. Once again, they will be doubling the fun with parties of all sounds and styles popping off in both the lush tropical gardens and expansive open roof deck at the Beach Plaza. Renowned for their intimate vibe, incredible talent, and positive atmosphere, Basic NYC's WMC events continue to be some of the most talked about Miami functions year in and year out.

This year's event lineups continue to evolve, with some new groups joining in on the fun. Everything will be on offer, reflecting today's expansive and diverse dance music spectrum. Music lovers can choose from a huge palette of sounds: deep and soulful house; cutting-edge tech and minimal; raw jacking beats; and classic Detroit-flavored techno. All this and more will be served up to a pack of eager revelers from some of the leading names in the electronic music game.

Here are just a few of the choice highlights of the week.

• The worldwide Hi-Tek Soul events make their Beach Plaza debut, with Detroit pioneers Stacey Pullen and Kevin Saunderson anchoring the lineup.
• San Francisco's premier house DJ Mark Farina returns to the Beach Plaza to highlight the Robsoul Recordings rooftop session
Chicago clubbing institution Smart Bar is back for their first-ever Garden event following last year's successful debut
• Basic NYC's own kickoff event features some of the world's leading up-and-coming minimal and techno talent including Matt Tolfrey and Simon Baker
• Toronto's prestigious Most Wanted Entertainment takes over both floors for a full day of top-flight music from heavy-hitters throughout the house, progressive and techno spectrum, featuring a rare appearance by the UK's Peace Division

It hardly gets more "Miami" than partying WMC-style at the Beach Plaza Hotel. The gardens, complete with shady palm trees and landscaped waterfalls, is the ultimate atmospheric venue. With a wooden dancefloor, private cabanas, and a crystal-clear soundsystem, it's a perfect place to spend a WMC day, as industry leaders and party people alike get down to some of the underground's top DJs. The hotel's roofdeck, inaugurated with some incredible events in 2007, features a stunning 360 degree view of South Beach and a unique, intimate spot for partying and networking alike. Whether relaxing on a sun chair and soaking in the scene, or cutting a rug on the dancefloor, the rooftop is one of Miami's most unique spaces. And forget about the velvet ropes and door drama of the Miami clubs: the Beach Plaza is heavy on the collective vibe that makes the WMC such a magnetic experience year after year.

From 12pm till 11pm, Tuesday through Sunday, the following parties will be going off at the Beach Plaza Hotel. The events are guestlist only, or for hotel guests, with Beach Plaza Resort passes available here: www.wantickets.com/basicnyc
