NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ TouchTunes) - TouchTunes Corporation, the largest out-of-home interactive entertainment network, today announced that platinum-selling funk band WAR is making all of their music available on the TouchTunes catalog of hundreds of thousands of tracks. TouchTunes is promoting WAR's music on a select 5,000 music systems with full-screen digital billboards and music from their most recent release The Very Best of WAR, from Rhino Entertainment. Additionally, in honor of WAR's classic song 'Why Can't We Be Friends?' the promotion will be accompanied by a survey on friendships, which will ask bar patrons about their best friendships as well their favorite WAR tunes.

'The band WAR is one of the great funk groups of all time,' said Ron Greenberg, TouchTunes CMO and senior vice president of digital media. 'So it's only fitting that their catalog is now available to their many fans on the nation's leading digital jukebox network, TouchTunes. We're uniquely able to provide an interactive network to once again bring this quintessential funk band to new and current fans. Plus we got to work together to present a fun 'Why Can't We Be Friends?' survey, on screen, to each selected location.'

Best known for hits such as 'Low Rider,' 'The Cisco Kid,' and 'Me and Baby Brother,' WAR helped define a generation of funk music with their first hit 'Spill the Wine,' which reached No 3 on the US pop charts in 1970. The famously multicultural band has sold nearly 25 million albums, and the relentlessly catchy melodies continue to be a mainstay for new generations of music lovers.

This is the first time the band has released their entire catalog digitally, and TouchTunes recognizes that its platform - as well as the bar environment - is ideal to bring back such classic songs. TouchTunes has inked several deals with big-name artists to release their new music to the public. Recent releases include albums from Wyclef Jean, Emerson Hart and Garth Brooks. WAR's enduring sound and instantly recognizable songs are a welcome addition to the TouchTunes ever-growing catalog, and help create a fun and lively atmosphere for any crowd.

The 'Why Can't We Be Friends?' friendship survey will run on TouchTunes jukeboxes March 25 through April 7 and will include questions such as 'When did you meet your best friend?' and 'What do you and your best friend like to do most when you go out?' At the end of the survey, participants will be able to enter an email address to receive future WAR updates and news.

'TouchTunes has proven how effectively we can take the pulse of customers - who are part of an extremely desirable demographic group,' added Greenberg. 'We'll continue to expand our unsurpassed catalog for our audience, and we specialize in working together with great artists such as WAR so they can share their music with new and long-time fans alike.'
