Sara Bareilles will head out on the road this summer for a string of dates throughout July and August in support of LITTLE VOICE, her Gold certified debut album for Epic Records featuring one of the top ten songs in the country, 'Love Song.' Sara will be the opening act for Grammy winning rock band
Maroon 5 and pop/rock band Counting Crows.
Since Sara Bareilles released her debut album, Little Voice back in July, she has emerged as one of the most interesting breakthrough artists of 2008. She stands in a class of her own on the pop charts with a blend of pop, soul and jazz that reveals an incredible vocal prowess. Upon release, the album skyrocketed to take the No 1 spot at iTunes. Since then, both the album and her smash first single, 'Love Song' have steadily climbed the charts - Sara currently holds the No 7 album spot on Billboard's Top 200 Chart with the single exploding at radio - No 2 at Top 40, and No 1 at both Hot AC and Adult Radio. Downloads of 'Love Song' have skyrocketed to 2 million to date, while the video for the track has become a mainstay on TRL for weeks - reaching as high as No 2 on the countdown.
Sara's participation in a Rhapsody commercial whereby she performs 'Love Song' and her brand new second single, 'Bottle It Up' - has garnered herself millions of new fans and fueled her popularity. Rolling Stone's recent feature on Sara perhaps sums it up best with their headline - 'Sara's World' - proving that Sara is without a doubt in a league of her own.
