New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Lachi Official Website) - Sultry, smooth, intelligent and bold, Lachi commands cleverly crafted, insightful yet quirky lyrics. They steer away from mediocrity and carry with them a message of natural beauty and internal conflict, managing to captivate the hearts of many.

Lachi holds a deep connection with her music, which can be felt and shared with everyone who watches her on stage. Along with band mates Andrew Boxer on drums, Gabriel Chang on guitar and Jent Lapalm on bass, this Manhattan-based singer/songwriter reveals her heart and mind as she unleashes her eclectic genre-bending sound, combining piano driven alternative rock with vocal jazz and a bit of soul.

Her many talents have earned her the opportunity to perform alongside Petra Haden at Joe's Pub this past fall. Lachi is currently working on her new album, tentatively titled "Ugly Beautiful," to be released late spring 2008. Her next scheduled appearance is at The Bowery Poetry Club on Friday, March 28th at 9:00 p.m., and at The Bitter End on Friday, April 4th.

"Sometimes the things we can't control/are the most ugly beautiful," she sings, challenging the listener to take an honest look within and see the true beauty of inherent differences.

Partly inspired by the trials and tribulations she faces as a legally blind musician, Lachi's lyrical prowess has won her recognition as a Musician's Atlas' 2006 Independent Music Awards finalist and a featured spot on Computer Music Magazine in 2007. Urban Mainstream Magazine praises her as a "gifted and inspiring young lady."
