MILPITAS, CA. & NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ SanDisk Corporation) - SanDisk Corporation, the proven leader in flash memory, today announced a sponsorship in association with the Billboard Latin Music Conference and Awards from April 6-10 in Hollywood, Florida. This sponsorship demonstrates SanDisk's commitment to two important marketing initiatives increased focus on the U.S. Hispanic and Latin American markets, as well as the company's "Wake Up Your Phone" education campaign. "Wake Up Your Phone" is focused on informing mobile phone users how they can capture their experiences and take their music with them by expanding the storage capacity of their mobile phones.

In addition to involvement with the event itself, SanDisk will be distributing SanDisk microSD cards to press and participants at the conference and awards ceremony with pre-loaded information about the event. This will give attendees the ability to use their mobile phones to capture photos or video at the Billboard Latin Music Conference and Awards or have the capacity to add new tracks from featured artists. Roughly the size of a fingernail, a microSD card, depending on capacity, allows music lovers to carry thousands of songs, videos and photos in their mobile phone and easily transport content to a PC, PDA and even an automobile.

David Bullitt, Marketing Manager for Latin America at SanDisk's Mobile Consumer Solutions Division, said, "The U.S. Hispanic and Latin American markets are very important to our overall mobile memory card marketing initiatives at SanDisk. We selected this particular event because of its importance within the Latin community, as well as the fact that Billboard truly understands mobile convergence where people are increasingly using their mobile phones as more than just a calling device. SanDisk's goal is to help people to 'Wake Up Their Phones' by using a SanDisk memory card, and this type of event allows the company to communicate that message in a creative way."

"This year's Billboard Latin Music Conference is all about exploring the new way of doing business, so it is extremely fitting that SanDisk Corporation is an in association sponsor of the event," said Leila Cobo, Billboard's Executive Director of Content & Programming for Latin Music & Entertainment. "From ringtones to video, understanding and utilizing mobile technology is crucial for any artist or company that wants to succeed in the Latin music business, and we're thrilled that SanDisk will be giving our attendees the opportunity to experience the true power of mobile entertainment through its microSD cards."
To increase awareness for this and other global marketing efforts, as well as overall mobile phone slot education, SanDisk launched www.wakeupyourphone.com.
