NEW YORK (NY Times) - Police are expected to question a man on Monday (Nov. 4) in connection with the murder of Run-DMC's Jam Master Jay last Wednesday, according to The New York Times. The man, who police would only describe as being from the South, has apparently been feuding with Jay -- real name Jason Mizell -- for over 10 years. Accompanied by his lawyer, the man is expected to turn himself in to authorities on Monday. Meanwhile, police released a description of one of the two men believed to have entered the Queens recording studio and opened fire on Jay and 25-year-old Uriel Rincon. The description is that of a black male, 6' to 6'2" tall, approximately 180 pounds, and last seen wearing a black sweat suit and black hat. Reports that the murder was captured on surveillance video were unsubstantiated at press time. In related news, a public wake for Mizell is scheduled for Monday at the Jay Foster-Philips Funeral Home in Queens from 7-9 p.m. Mizell's funeral is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday (Nov. 5) at the Allen A.M.E. Cathedral in Queens. In lieu of flowers, Mizell's family has asked that donations be sent to the Mizell Children's Fund, c/o of Terri Corley-Mizell, P.O. Box 3497, New Hyde Park, N.Y., 11040. Police are urging anyone with any information surrounding the murder to contact the 103rd Precinct's Detective Bureau at (718) 657-8220 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
