Pearl Jam will kick off its world tour in support of the forthcoming Riot Act on Feb. 8 in Brisbane, Australia, according to the band's official Web site.
Thus far, five dates in Australia and five dates in Japan are confirmed, with more dates expected to follow in the coming weeks. The first 10 dates run through a March 6 date in Nagoya, Japan.
Meanwhile, the band has added a second night, on Dec. 9, to its upcoming benefit show at the KeyArena in Seattle. No opening act had been announced for those shows by press time, but rumors are flying that Queens of the Stone Age and Audioslave are candidates.
Riot Act is due on Epic Records on Nov. 12.
