BURBANK, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Hollywood Records) - Hollywood recording artists PLAIN WHITE T'S have begun recording the follow-up to their two-time Grammy nominated album Every Second Counts. The quintet (vocalist Tom Higgenson, guitarists Dave Tirio and Tim Lopez, bassist Mike Retondo and drummer De'Mar Hamilton) entered Morning View Studios in Malibu, California, today with producer Johnny K (Disturbed, Finger Eleven, 3 Doors Down), with whom they worked on Every Second Counts. The yet-to-be-titled album will be the band's second studio release for Hollywood Records and their fourth overall. The disc is scheduled for a September 2008 release.

Every Second Counts sold more than a million albums worldwide on the strength of smash hit single "Hey There Delilah," a song that grabbed the much-coveted No. 1 slot on Billboard's "Hot 100" chart, the No. 1 slot internationally on Billboard's Euro Singles Sales chart and the No. 1 slot on the iTunes Top Songs Chart (which it held for four weeks).

"Hey There Delilah" hit No 1 in 9 countries, making it one of the biggest songs in the world. The band toured endlessly in support of the song and album, playing 150 shows in 15 countries last year alone. In addition, the Chicago-based T's who won a Teen Choice Award for "Choice Summer Song," were also nominated for a MTV Video Music Award (for "Monster Single of the Year").
