David Donatien have announced details of their upcoming North American tour. The Paris-based duo will highlight songs from their eponymous new album, which features the No 1 iTunes smash hit single, "New Soul." The tour will begin with a performance at the opening night gala for "60@60: America's Celebration of Israel's 60th Anniversary," slated for this Wednesday, May 7th at New York City's celebrated
Radio City
Music Hall. In June, Yael &
David will embark on a series of headline dates across the continent, making eagerly anticipated stops in Philadelphia, Boston, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Montreal (see below itinerary).
"New Soul" - which is featured in the TV promotion for the new MacBook Air - is unquestionably among the breakthrough singles of 2008. The track has proven a major digital blockbuster, with total sales now nearing 850,000. Having recently debuted in the top 10 on the Billboard "Hot 100," the single is brightening up radio, climbing the airplay charts at multi-format outlets nationwide. "New Soul" is currently ascending the top 15 at Triple A, as well as the top 25 at Hot AC.
