LOS ANGELES, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Luck Media & Marketing) - Houston based keyboardist, composer and tech whiz Antherius (www.myspace.com/antherius) breaks into ACQB's top 20 with his single 'Centrifuge,' alongside heavy-hitters Colbie Caillat, Matchbox Twenty and John Mayer. With the rapid success of Antherius' second album, 2008-03's, the hypnotic, trippy and Latin influenced single 'Centrifuge,' is reaching adult contemporary audiences across the country, allowing fans to vibe with Antherius' fascinating synthesis of sounds.

In contrast to Antherius' debut album, 2006-01, the songs on 2008-03 have more acoustic and electric guitar sounds, and more of a musical edge. According to Mish Mash Music Reviews, 'Composer/musician Antherius takes a classic approach to his brand of electronica, harkening back to the days of Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, and Jan Hammer. There is definitely a pop and rock undercurrent [as] Antherius doesn't overload his tunes with extraneous beats and instrumentation, opting for a more simple and sparse texture that has a very open feeling, relying more on melody than a wall of sound.'

Antherius recalls a bygone era of more instrumental pop hits and extended vocal-free passages in the progressive rock songs of The Moody Blues, ELO, Emerson, Lake & Palmer and Blood, Sweat and Tears. Mark LaSpina from FMQB Radio likens his music to "Harold Faltermayer's 'Axel F' meets Herbie Hancock's "Rockit"." Antherius' lifelong love of music led him to do weekend DJ stints at FM radio stations while studying engineering sciences at Texas A&M and business at the University of Houston. The arrival of new home studio technology in the early 2000's allowed him to pick up where his early composing and performing dreams left off.
