Los Angeles, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Ironworks Music) - LA-based rockers BILLY BOY ON POISON, who just released their debut EP Sweet Mess on Kiefer Sutherland and Jude Cole's Ironworks Music label, have nabbed the opening spot on two of Stone Temple Pilots' hotly-tipped reunion shows: June 4 at The Fillmore in Detroit, MI, and June 12 at The Pearl Concert Theatre in Las Vegas. According to BILLY BOY ON POISON frontman DAVIS LeDUKE, "We are just blown away to be asked to share a stage with Stone Temple Pilots…STP embodies everything we love about rock n' roll. We learned so much from STP's Dean and Robert DeLeo when we had the opportunity recently to go into the studio with them. We discovered that the DeLeos are not only incredibly professional and extremely talented, but they're also just phenomenal people. They really know their shit about rock n' roll." BILLY BOY played a show on May 3 at Concerts in the Park in San Diego with Unwritten Law and The Vandals. "We got to play an outdoor show with one of our idol bands, The Vandals, in San Diego. What a diamond life…we sometimes have to pinch ourselves to make sure we're not dreaming." To add to the band's national profile over the summer, BILLY BOY's song "On My Way" from their upcoming full length CD will be featured in a national Pontiac commercial featuring "LA Ink" star and female tattoo artiste Kat Von D. The spot will debut May 15 on https://maxim.com/vondvibe, then will begin airing during "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and VH1's "Maxim Hot 100" on May 21. Additionally, BILLY BOY's tune "Happy Valentine's Day," which can be found on their just-released EP Sweet Mess, is set to appear in the upcoming 20th Century Fox thriller "Mirrors," directed by Alexandre Aja.
