Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Nine North Records) - Way Out West/Nine North Records artist Shawna Russell and her band will perform on the Hard Rock Cafe Outdoor Stage during the CMA Music Festival on Thursday, June 5 at 12:10 p.m.

Russell arrives in Nashville on the heels of over two months of non-stop radio touring and live concert performances to promote her debut CD and single, 'Goddess.' Since April, she has visited 30 secondary and major market radio outlets across nine states - in addition to performing 2-6 concerts a week in between.

Russell's 'Goddess' is gaining early support at R&R, Music Row and Secondary radio across the country, and is a featured 'free' download in the current edition of Country Weekly magazine.

Recently, for the second time in as many months, Russell swept through her home state of Oklahoma and neighboring Missouri in a promotional blitz that included radio visits to KVOO in Tulsa , KREK in Bristow, KKNG and KTST/KXXY in Oklahoma City and KIXQ in Joplin , Mo. She performed with her band on OKC's KWTV "News 9 Morning Show,' and for a 'Welcome Home' celebration for troops at Tinker AFB. Russell closed the week out with a concert opener for Jeff Bates at the Little River Music Valley in Tecumseh.

The Oklahoman newspaper trumpeted the return of the 'Goddess' with a feature story that told of Russell's 'lifetime of dreaming and a decade of nearly constant touring' to reach this point in her career. In April, the publication stated that 'Judging from Shawna Russell's promising debut album, Oklahoma likely will be adding another country superstar to its brag book.'

After her CMA Fest show, Russell returns to Oklahoma for a series of concerts before resuming her radio tour in late-June with scheduled stops in New York state and Washington, D.C.
