New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Flavorpill) - After a full year in orbit, with performances from astronauts Bonde de Role, Kid Sister, Kanye West, the Cool Kids, Simian Mobile Disco, Jazzy Jeff, and others, Flavorpill and The American Museum of Natural History are back for the final edition of the One Step Beyond spring 2008 lineup. The series was co-created with The American Museum of Natural History and is produced and creative-directed by Flavorpill.
The mothership lands on Friday, June 27, 2008, from 9pm to 1am. Dance-floor satellites deploy courtesy of openers Pete Rock and Buckshot, followed by a late-night planetary expedition from white-hot MC Talib Kweli.
Tickets are $20, which includes cosmic visuals by Fuevoz (with VJs SeeJ and Benton-C), entry to the Museum's breathtaking Passport to the Universe Space Show, and a pass for one future Museum visit. Tickets are available in advance at www.amnh.org. This event will sell out, so advance tickets purchase is recommended. Entrance to the event is located on Central Park West at West 79th Street.

Talib Kweli
Brooklyn's own MC Talib Kweli entered the hip-hop spotlight in the late-'90s as one half of critically acclaimed duo Black Star. Since then, he has brought his politically minded and deeply honest style to the mainstream, offering a thought-provoking alternative to pop-rap cliches. Kweli's most-recent album, 2007's Eardrum, builds on his trademark lyricism and soulful R&B-inflected production sensibilities - unsurprisingly, it's his strongest effort yet.

Pete Rock
From his start DJing on Marley Marl's radio show in the late 1980s, Pete Rock has become a legendary hip-hop producer. Rock pioneered a production technique called "filtering," applying his methods to his own output in the '90s with Pete Rock & CL Smooth, as well as to reworkings for Mary J. Blige and Public Enemy. In the last decade, Pete Rock has released a string of highly regarded solo albums, including 2008's NY's Finest, and produced songs for Ghostface, Talib Kweli, and others.

Buckshot
Buckshot is the man behind the mic for Black Moon and Boot Camp Clik, as well as co-owner of Duck Down Records. Since 1993, Buckshot has established himself as an iconic rapper, working with Tupac Shakur, Busta Rhymes, Q-Tip, Talib Kweli, Aaliyah, and KRS ONE. This year, he also created original music for the Men's College Basketball programming on ESPN. Buckshot's second collaboration with super-producer 9th Wonder, entitled The Formula, is out now.

The Rose Center for Earth and Space is one of the most engaging and beautiful public spaces in the world. Inside One Step Beyond, attendees can check out complimentary screenings of Passport to the Universe-the breathtaking Space Show that launches visitors on a thrilling trip through space and time, narrated by Tom Hanks, explore the Cullman Hall of the Universe, view a re-creation of the Big Bang, and see artifacts of space and science, while the DJs and live acts provide suitably otherworldly experiences.

One Step Beyond will return again in fall 2008 with a new monthly series of events..
