New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Musical ambassadors Nation Beat and fellow sonic adventurers The Klezmatics have been remixed on their song "Mare Cheia" courtesy of NYC-based producer Amon. The track is one of The Klezmatic's three collaborations from Nation Beat's critically acclaimed new release 'Legends of the Preacher,' out today on Modiba Records.

Amon (https://www.amondrum.com), a regular collaborator with Turntables on the Hudson, Afrokinetic, and several other NY-based DJ/percussion parties, has taken the sweetly melancholy track and layered an intriguingly ominous string riff and syncopated beat over the Afro-Caribbean / Jewish hybrid.

The Village Voice has hailed the band as "a multi-cultural dream. Nation Beat's new 'Legends of the Preacher' floats Liliana Araujo's bold contralto over a synergistic blend of bluegrass, 'jazz-funeral' riffs, and Pernambucan carnival percussion- plus melodies influenced by Iberia's exiled Jews and Moors- into something joyous, revelatory, and socially aware."

Nation Beat will continue to tour the U.S. this summer and fall.
