NEW YORK (NY RnB magazine) - Ja Rule came up with the idea of recording a song with Bobby Brown when watching the Martin Lawrence and Lynn Whitfield comedy, Thin Line Between Love And Hate.

Ja Rule said that "I knew Bob for a while. Bob's my man, so, you know, it wasn't that hard, and sh-t. But I actually got the idea from Thin Line Between Love And Hate. You know, they play that Stevie Wonder record in there, and Bob's in that movie, wild, dancing around with him and Martin. So, I seen the movie, and I was like, 'That's who I need. Bob!' Called Bob, got him on the joint."

An interpolation of the Wonder song, "Knocks Me Off My Feet," is featured in "Thug Lovin'." Ja Rule sampled another Wonder song, "Do I Do," in his 2001 hit, "Livin' It Up."An interpolation of the Wonder song, "Knocks Me Off My Feet," is featured in "Thug Lovin'." Wonder's "Knocks Me Off My Feet" first appeared on his 1976 album Songs In The Key Of Life.
Ja Rule's fourth album, The Last Temptation, makes its debut on the US Album Chart this week at No 4.
