BURBANK, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Warner Bros. Records) - Indestructible, the current album from multi-platinum hard rock band Disturbed, has scanned over 500,000 units and has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America, just six weeks after its release by Reprise Records on June 3rd. The self-produced album debuted at Number One on Billboard's Top 200 album chart and remained in the Top 10 for five weeks. Indestructible is the band's third consecutive Number One album, following their platinum-sellers Believe (2002) and Ten Thousand Fists (2005), making Disturbed one of only six other rock bands in history to score three consecutive Number One debuts with studio albums. Disturbed's 2000 debut album, The Sickness, has been certified triple-platinum by the R.I.A.A. with sales closing in on four million. Formed in Chicago in 1996, Disturbed has sold a collective 10 million albums worldwide. The lead-off single from Indestructible - "Inside the Fire" - has been Number One at Active Rock Radio for 12 weeks and counting. The track, which was released digitally on March 25th, is Disturbed's sixth Number One single at Active Rock, and the band's fastest-rising chart-topper to date. The band's previous Number One Active Rock singles are "Down With The Sickness," "Prayer," "Liberate," "Stricken," and "Land of Confusion." Disturbed is currently on the covers of Metal Edge and Revolver magazines, and recently graced the covers of the previous issues of Revolver, Guitar World, Drum! and Metal Hammer. The band is currently on the road co-headlining this summer's Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival Tour, which continues through mid-August.
