LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ CineMedia Promotions) - Lakeshore Records will release the original score for THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN on July 22, 2008 in stores and via iTunes. Composers Robert Williamson and Johannes Kobilke team up once again for the film. The two composed the soundtrack for PATHOLOGY, which was released earlier this year.

Co-Composer Robert Williamson got his start in music playing bass in various bands in Seattle in the mid 90's sharing bills with bands like Nirvana and Soundgarden. He became infatuated with electronic music and started Eat Knowledge recordings.
In 2000 Robert wrote the script for the movie DANDELION and as the movie reached final stages of editing he decided to score it as well. The film debuted at Sundance in 2004. He went on to score the film THE YOUTH IN US, a series for MTV, contributed songs to UNDERWORLD EVOLUTION, wrote original music for a documentary about Hurricane Katrina with director and R.E.M front man Michael Stipe, and contributed additional score for the film CRANK.

Johannes Kobilke began playing and improvising piano at the age of six. During his teenage years he began writing original compositions and working in electronic music production. Johannes also performed as keyboard and piano player in several bands and as singer in a classical choir. He studied film music and sound design at Filmacademy Ludwigsburg/Germany. Since completing his studies in 1999, Johannes has composed the music for more than 25 television movies in Germany and for commercials and industrials for companies like BMW, Lexus, Lamborghini, Siemens, Burger King, AUDI, and VW. PATHOLOGY and THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN are the first Hollywood films Johannes has composed.

Next stop death on THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN, from Lions Gate, in theaters on August 1, 2008. When Leon Kaufman's (Bradley Cooper) latest body of work - a collection of provocative, nighttime studies of the city and its inhabitants - earns the struggling photographer interest from prominent art gallerist Susan Hoff (Brooke Shields), she propels him to get grittier and show the darker side of humanity for his upcoming debut at her downtown art space. Believing he's finally on track for success, Leon's obsessive pursuit of dark subject matter leads him into the path of a serial killer, Mahogany (Vinnie Jones), the subway murderer who stalks late-night commuters - ultimately butchering them in the most gruesome ways imaginable.
From the shocking imagination of Clive Barker, Lions Gate films presents THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN, in theaters on August 1. Lakeshore Records presents THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN Original Score, available in stores and via iTunes on July 22.
