Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Suma Records) - Country blues rocker Steve Azar and PGA Champ John Daly will co-host the 1st Annual Campbell Chevrolet Celebrity Classic at The Club at Olde Stone in Bowling Green, KY on Monday, October 20 and Tuesday, October 21, 2008. Proceeds from the event will benefit various autism charities located throughout central and south-central regions of Kentucky.

The star-studded charity event will feature two days of great music and competitive golf, with more than 30 celebrities participating from the worlds of country and rock music, as well as sports and Hollywood. Celebrities expected to attend include Azar, Daly, former Chicago Bears' quarterback Jim McMahon, multi-platinum rock band 3 Doors Down, NFL Hall of Famer Gino Torretta and "King of Queens" actor Gary Valentine. Many more are expected to be announced in coming weeks.

Monday, October 20th will serve as a practice round for all participants, with a pairings party to be held that evening at the Village Hall at Olde Stone. All participants and celebrity guests will be invited to attend the reception, where a special silent auction will be held for a chance to win great sports and music memorabilia.

The golf tournament begins Tuesday, October 21. Packages will be sold for foursomes and one celebrity will be paired with each foursome in order to play a five-man scramble. Later that evening, a jam session concert will take place by music celebrities attending the event. Tickets for the concert cost $20 and will go on sale in early September.

Azar, whose charted hits include the Top 5 hit, "I Don't Have to Be Me ('Til Monday)," "Waitin' On Joe," "You Don't Know A Thing," and "I Won't Let You Lead Me Down," has just released a new album entitled Indianola. The project is the first release from his newly formed Dang/Ride Records and highlights his songwriting, producing, engineering and instrumental talent. Azar is a seasoned performer who toured across the country last year on one of the largest and most successful tours of 2007 with legendary Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band. As a golfer, he ranked No 4 on Golf Digest's list of "Top 100 Celebrities Who Golf."

John Daly began golfing professionally in 1987, and won the Ben Hogan Utah Classic in 1990. After joining the PGA Tour in 1991, he won the PGA Championship that same year. He finished the tournament with scores of 69-67-69-71, giving him a three-stroke victory over Bruce Lietzke, and was named PGA Tour Rookie of the Year. Daly's subsequent victories include the B.C. Open in 1992, the BellSouth Classic in 1994, the unexpected 1995 win over Italian Constantino Rocca at the British Open, and the Buick Invitational in 2004.
