NEW YORK (Madonna Fans Website) - Just days after Madonna came in towards the bottom of the Hollywood Reporter's list of 2002's most influential women in show biz, she was #60, the popular magazine is now reporting that the Material Girl's Maverick Film company is hooking up with a major television production company to produce a new dramatic series. Currently called 'Alyx,' the TV series will star The Practice's Marla Sokoloff as a teen pop idol who wants to give up on pop for a life of rock. We're guessing this isn't going to be a stretch for Madonna to produce. She wielded a guitar during her Drowned world tour. Besides acting, Marla sings and is actually signed to Madonna's Maverick record label. "Marla is multi-talented, and we are excited to be working with her," says Guy Oseary, another Maverick exec. "We feel we can create a platform where we can explore all of her talents."
