New York, NY. (Shore Fire Media)--Indie singer-songwriter Curtis Peoples will celebrate the release of his debut, self-titled album with an August 19 performance and album release party at the Roxy in his adopted hometown of Los Angeles. The show will kick off Peoples' extensive U.S. tour, which includes dates with Tyler Hilton, Keaton Simons, Todd Carey and Tony Lucca. "The Roxy is one of my favorite places to play," Peoples enthuses. "It has such a cool history, and a big arena feel."

With his unique brand of "coffee shop arena-rock", combining sensitive lyrics and big guitars, Peoples' star is on the rise. The San Diego-raised charmer has already played national dates with Tyler Hilton, Josh Kelley, Hanson, Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers, Tim Reynolds, and others, all before the release of his first full-length CD.

This time he'll be playing numerous songs from the new collection that's already been called "one of the top debut albums of 2008" by critic Wildy Haskell, including the touching ballad "All I Want" and the upbeat rocker "Back Where I Started." Music Connection praised Peoples' "strong and deeply resonant voice," naming him one of their "100 Unsigned Artists To Watch in 2008."
