NEW YORK (AMA Website) - Shania Twain, Christina Aguilera, Matchbox 20, Toby Keith and Willie Nelson, Kelly Osbourne, and Kenny Chesney have been announced as performers for the 30th annual American Music Awards on January 13.
They will join previously announced acts Elton John and Tim McGraw, who will open the show with a performance of John's "Tiny Dancer." Osbourne will pull double duty during the show, as she will also serve as one of the hosts along with the rest of her family.

A total of 20 publicly voted awards will be presented on this year's American Music Awards. In the pop/rock, country, and hip-hop/R&B categories, awards will be presented for favorite male and female artist, favorite group, favorite album, and favorite new artist. In the Latin music, adult contemporary, alternative music, and contemporary inspirational categories, awards will be presented for favorite artist.
An award will also be presented for favorite soundtrack.

The awards ceremony, held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, will air that night from 8-11 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
