NEW YORK (Theatre News) - The oldest Backstreet Boy, Kevin Richardson, is gearing up to make his Broadway debut in the role of underhanded lawyer Billy Flynn in the musical, Chicago. The revived musical, about a chorus girl who murders a nightclub regular, opens in Chicago itself on January 20th and then moves to the New York on January 29th. Incidentally Kevin's character is also being portrayed by Richard Gere in the upcoming movie adaptation of Chicago. Celebs who've been nabbed to play the role of Billy Flynn in the past include Taye Diggs, George Hamilton and Michael C. Hall. Actor Billy Zane is currently playing the part of Flynn on Broadway.
