LAS VEGAS, NV. (Top40 Charts/ MDA JERRY LEWIS TELETHON) - For over 43 years, Jerry Lewis has been raising funds for Muscular Dystrophy awareness in hopes of finding a cure. The telethon, which has raised over $1 Billion, will broadcast over Labor Day weekend starting August 31st and ending September 1st.

In the many years of its broadcast, celebrities from The Backstreet Boys to The Bee Gees have graced the telethon stage - this year will be no different. Disco-diva Gloria Gaynor, multi-platinum country artist Tracy Lawrence, multi-platinum rock band 3 Doors Down, platinum teen country artist Billy Gilman, and American Idol runner-up Bo Bice will all make special appearances and performances on the telethon.

"I've followed The Jerry Lewis telethon my whole life. The help that the foundation provides for Muscular Dystrophy is an amazing thing. I feel blessed to have been asked to be a part of it," says Bo Bice.

The broadcast will originate from the South Point Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas and air from 9pm Sunday to 6:30pm Monday. Jerry Lewis will be hosting the event along with co-host Ed McMahon while the performances will take place at various times over the 21 1/2 hour period broadcast.
