NEW YORK (R. Kelly Fans Website) - R. Kelly is back in the news. This time it's not about the 21 counts of child pornography the R&B star is currently facing. Instead he is releasing a new album called "Chocolate Factory." R. Kelly was originally scheduled to release his follow up to 2000's "TP2.COM" in November called "Love Land," but his legal troubles prompted him to scrap the while thing. Some suggest in light of the current charges facing the singer he also wanted to rework some lyrics. "Chocolate Factory" is due in stores January 28th while R. Kelly is due back in court tomorrow. The first single from Chocolate Factory is "Ignition," which is a classic R. Kelly love song. Some fans suspected that the singer might shy away from racier topics because of his pending legal battle, but Kelly appears undeterred.
Other songs on Chocolate Factory include the previously released "The World's Greatest" and "Heaven I Need A Hug." The set will also include a duet with Ron Isley titled "Showdown," as well as a remix of "Ignition." R. Kelly is facing charges stemming from a videotape obtained by the Chicago Sun-Times allegedly depicting the singer having sex with a minor. He is due in court on December 20, and has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
