Chicago, IL. (Top40 Charts/ EV Records) - Critically acclaimed hip hop act Treologic is releasing their latest CD Colabo on October 21st. The album is distributed by EV Records and will be available for download at iTunes, Rhapsody, Amazon.com and elsewhere around the web. The physical CD will be available at various retail outlets - if your local store doesn't stock it, ask them to order it for you.

Treologic keyboardist Lance Loiselle says that Colabo has a harder sound and more traditional hip hop production than their three previous releases - which were more eclectic in their mix of musical elements. Those predecessors were What's the Question (2003), MixTape (2004) and Thank You Lenny (2005),

The message of the music has always been heavily infused with a street sensibility. Creating music with hard beats, jazzy flavors, chops with simplicity, Treologic is always keeping a lyrical flow that is reminiscent of Jay-Z, Nas, or Black Thought.

Loiselle says that the group is unique in the music world because of the path that each of the members took to get there - and the musical influences that they bring to the party. You get jazz in the organ and keys, gospel in the drums and bass, rock in the jam guitar. Add in a hip hop DJ and an MC who is studied in his craft and serve with a real message that even a casual hip hop listener can relate to with out watering down the methodology and you have the recipe for Treologic. Loiselle says, "We're influenced by everything, but sound like no one else."

You don't have to take his word for it, though. The group has been featured in a number of magazines (including the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun Times and Billboard) and online publications. They were the winners of the grand prize in DiscMaker's 2005 Midwest Independent World Series.
