NEW YORK (Metallica Fans Website) - Metallica has set confirmed shows in Ireland and the U.K. as part of its festival tour in 2003. Those dates take place in August and feature appearances at the famed Leeds Festival and Reading Festival. The band has also been added to the Heineken Jammin' Festival in Italy and the Werchter Rock Festival in Belgium.

Metallica has already been confirmed for the Roskilde Festival in Denmark, and both the Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park in Germany.

Metallica European Festival dates for 2003 (subject to change):

June 6-8 - Nurburgring/Nurnberg, Germany - Rock Am Ring/Rock IM Park
June 13 - Imola, Italy - Heineken Jammin' Festival
June 26 - Rosklilde, Denmark - Roskilde Festival
June 28 - Werchter, Belgium - Werchter Rock Festival
August 21 - Dublin, Ireland - TBA
August 22 - Leeds, UK - Leeds Festival
August 24 - Reading, UK - Reading Festival
